Introduction

The Firemac 2000 is a flap type roof mounted natural Smoke & Fire Ventilator suitable for smoke and heat release, with the option for day-to-day environmental use if required.

Various options are available within the range providing flexibility and choice for the designer and customer. These include unsulated and uninsulated versions along with units incorporating translucent polycarbonate tops for providing natural daylight. A further option is for units to be thermally broken on either (or both) the body and the lid top frames.

Application

The variety of options and low profile appearance make the Firemac 2000 suitable for industrial buildings, shopping centres and atria. Smoke exhaust from stairwells is an ideal application for this unit.

Product Testing

Full independent product testing including opening mechanism, operational reliability, wind load, aerodynamic efficiency, mechanical integrity, environmental & fire performance all conforming & certified to EN 12101-2 specification.

Aerodynamic coefficient:-
0.60 for units 1000mm x 1000mm - < 2000mm x 2000mm or,
0.65 for units 2000mm x 2000mm & greater (refer to brochure above).

Sizes

With single and twin flaps on offer, units are available in throat sizes ranging from 1000mm x 1000mm, up to 2500mm x 2500mm as standard.

Construction

A wide range of contrustion options are offered using differing body and flap contructions derived from the following body and flap options.
Ventilator body in the following formats:-
  • Aluminium uninsulated
  • Aluminium with insulation
  • Aluminium with thermal break
Top flaps with the following lid options:-
  • Aluminium uninsulated
  • Aluminium with insulation
  • Aluminium with insulation with thermal break
  • Polycarbonate 16mm thick triple walled
  • Polycarbonate 16mm thick triple walled with thermal break

Materials

Corrosion resistant AlMg3 aluminium alloy.

Finishes

In addition to mill finish, also available is a polyester powder paint finish with a wide choice of colours and gloss levels.

For smoke & heat release, and also for day-to-day environmental use if required.

Pneumatic Enables connection to Life Safety, Smoke Detection and Building Management Systems.

Electric Actuation Enables connection to Life Safety, Smoke Detection and Building Management Systems.

Maintenance

Maintenance should be carried out in accordance with McKenzie-Martin's recommendations.
